On November 8, 2018 CSALC Clinic Director Avvy Go attended the Government Alliance on Race & Equity’s conference in Detroit. Pictured below are Avvy, SALCO’s Executive Director Shalini Konanur, and Rashida Tlaib, one of the first two Muslim women to ever be elected to the U.S. Congress. Rashida also made a video clip with Colour of Poverty Colour of Change in support of using Community Benefits Agreements to advance racial equity in Canada.
